My goal in making new instruments is always to carefully consider every aspect of the instruments design as it pertains to the overall sound appearance and playability of the instrument. While I am awed by the achievements of the great makers of the past, I nevertheless think that the materials and technology available to us today make it possible to improve on historic instruments in some ways. To this end, I have developed a number of innovative features for my basses which I describe in the pages accessed by clicking the buttons above. Only by combining superior design with superior materials and superior workmanship can a superior instrument be made.
